Ken Gavlik
Vice President Radiological Services
Mr. Ken Gavlik serves as Vice President of Radiological Services at NAC Philotechnics. He is a US Navy Nuclear Power Program veteran and former fast attack submariner. Mr. Gavlik holds a Bachelor of Science with concentrations in Nuclear Engineering Technology and Radiation Protection, as well as an MBA. With nearly thirty years of hands-on experience in radiation protection, radiological remediation, and decommissioning, he has planned and managed more than 110 radiological services projects for commercial, academic, and governmental clients over the past decade.
Mr. Gavlik directed two of the largest commercial building decommissioning projects in the United States — each exceeding two million square feet — and oversaw one of the nation’s most technically challenging decommissioning efforts involving 175 radiological contaminants of concern. He participated in the Radiological Operations Support Specialist (ROSS) and Virtual Evaluation Scenario Tool (VEST) pilot programs; is a FEMA-typed ROSS; and serves as a Subject Matter Expert on the New York City Radiological Advisory Committee, bringing extensive experience with FEMA ROSS, CBRN, DNDO, and the Securing the Cities initiative.
